eBay vs Poshmark fees

These two are the most common choice for clothes and accessories, and eBay is cheaper on fees at every price. On a $50 item eBay takes $7.20 and Poshmark $10. Under $15 the difference is bigger: a $10 sale costs $1.66 on eBay and a flat $2.95 on Poshmark.

Shipping narrows the gap a little. eBay charges its final value fee on the shipping the buyer pays too, while Poshmark’s buyer pays a flat $6.49 label that is not part of your fee. With $6 shipping, eBay’s fee on a $50 item rises to $8.02. Poshmark still costs more, but in exchange it handles labels and buyer protection for you.

Depop vs Poshmark fees

For clothes, Depop is far cheaper: $2.10 on a $50 sale against Poshmark’s $10. The exception is Boost. A boosted Depop sale adds 12% of the item price, so the same $50 item costs $8.10, still less than Poshmark. Our guide to Depop fees in 2026 explains when Boost pays off.

Depop’s buyers also pay a marketplace fee of up to 5% + $1 at checkout. It doesn’t come out of your payout, but it makes the buyer’s total higher than your price.

Where Whatnot fits

For cards, coins and collectibles, Whatnot is usually cheaper than eBay: $5.75 against $7.20 on a $50 sale, and $5.92 against $8.02 with $6 shipping, because Whatnot charges no commission on shipping. Coins and money pay only 4% commission on Whatnot. Above $1,500, Whatnot charges no commission on the rest of the order in cards, coins, comics, toys, bags and jewelry.

Whatnot’s new tiers lower the commission further for sellers with more than $15,000 in sales per four weeks. eBay’s final value fee varies by category, so check yours in the eBay fee calculator.

Which resale app should you use?

  • Clothes and vintage, lowest fees: Depop. Use Boost only on slow items.

  • Clothes, hands-off shipping: Poshmark. Highest fee, but simple labels and a large buyer base, especially for brands.

  • Cards, coins, collectibles, live selling: Whatnot, especially at higher tiers or for items over $1,500.

  • Anything, widest reach: eBay, with fees between Whatnot and Poshmark.

Many resellers cross-list the same item and accept the sale wherever it comes first. If you do, price for the most expensive platform you list on, or you will earn less where the fee is higher.
