Vinted Fees 2026: What Sellers and Buyers Pay (UK)

Vinted fees in 2026: no selling fees for UK sellers, the Vinted fee (Buyer Protection) of 3–8% + £0.30–£0.80 paid by buyers, Bump, Showcase and withdrawals.

Vinted fees 2026: a £25 sale where the seller keeps £25 and the buyer pays the Vinted fee

Vinted charges sellers no selling fees in the UK. When an item sells, the full price you set goes to your Vinted Balance. The money Vinted makes comes from the buyer: a mandatory Vinted fee, formerly called the Buyer Protection fee, which is usually 3% to 8% of the item price plus £0.30 to £0.80, added at checkout.

This guide explains every Vinted fee in 2026 using Vinted’s own price list (last updated 8 October 2026) and help centre: what buyers pay, what sellers can choose to pay for, how withdrawals work, and how Vinted makes money with no selling fees.

Does Vinted have selling fees?

No. Vinted’s help centre states that there are no fees for uploading or selling items, and that once a sale is completed you receive the full payment for your item. If you list a jacket for £25 and it sells for £25, £25 lands in your Vinted Balance. There is no commission, no payment processing fee and no monthly subscription for private sellers.

The only things a seller can pay for are optional visibility features, Bumps and Showcase, covered below.

The Vinted fee (Buyer Protection fee)

Every order placed with the “Buy now” button includes a mandatory platform fee paid by the buyer. Vinted is renaming it from the Buyer Protection fee to the Vinted fee; both names refer to the same charge, and the way it is calculated has not changed.

According to Vinted’s price list, the fee usually combines a percentage of the item or bundle price with a fixed amount: 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80, including VAT. The exact figure depends on the item, the order value and whether it is a single item or a bundle. Buyers see it in the price breakdown on each listing and in the order summary at checkout.

Because the formula is a range, here is what the fee can add to common prices:

The fee pays for Vinted’s refund policy when an item is lost, damaged or significantly not as described (for items bought from non-professional sellers), secure payments and member support.

How does Vinted make money with no selling fees?

Almost entirely from buyers and from optional seller services. Every “Buy now” order carries the Vinted fee, and sellers who want more visibility can pay for Bumps and Showcase. Optional verification services for designer items and electronics add a little more. In effect, Vinted moved the cost that marketplaces like eBay or Etsy charge sellers onto the buyer’s side of the order.

For sellers this is a real advantage on cheap items: on other marketplaces a fixed fee can take a large share of a £5 sale, while on Vinted you keep all of it.

Optional seller fees: Bump and Showcase

  • Bump: pushes a single listing higher in search and the feed for 3 or 7 days, or until it sells. The price depends on the item price and the duration and is shown before you pay. You can lower the price during a Bump but not raise it.

  • Showcase (formerly Wardrobe Spotlight): promotes your whole wardrobe for 7 days and highlights up to 15 listings. You need at least 5 items listed, and the price depends on how many listings you have and their value.

Both are entirely optional. A Bump is worth it on items that already have likes but no offers; on cheap items its cost can be a large share of the sale.

Postage on Vinted

The buyer chooses a delivery option and pays postage at checkout, on top of the item price and the Vinted fee. As the seller you print the label or use the code Vinted provides and drop off the parcel. Bundles let buyers combine several items into one parcel, which saves them postage and makes it more likely they buy more than one item from you.

Withdrawing your earnings

Once an order is completed, the money moves from your pending balance to your Vinted Balance, and you can withdraw it to a UK bank account in pounds using your account number and sort code. The minimum withdrawal is £0.10, and transfers can take up to 5 business days. Vinted’s price list does not include any fee for withdrawals. Funds that are still pending cannot be withdrawn, and the payment provider may ask you to verify your identity first.

Vinted vs other resale apps for sellers

Few apps let sellers keep 100% of the price. Depop also charges no selling fee in the UK, but sellers still pay payment processing on each sale. Platforms such as Mercari, Poshmark and Whatnot in the US take 10% to 20% of each sale. See how those fees work in our guides to Depop fees and Mercari fees, or compare US resale apps in the resale app calculators.

How to sell more on Vinted without paying fees

  • Price with the buyer’s total in mind. Buyers see the Vinted fee and postage on top of your price, so a slightly lower item price can make the total look much better.

  • Offer bundle discounts. Bundles save buyers postage and a separate fee on each item.

  • Use good photos and measurements before paying for a Bump: they cost nothing and help more.

  • Ship quickly. You are paid only once the order is completed, so fast dispatch gets money into your balance sooner.
